It all takes me back in time. I was gazing at that "Wonder Bowl" picture at the top. Not only is the architecture interesting, but I was checking out the cars in the parking lot. That's a 59' Ford station wagon first in line. As a young boy I wasn't so much into baseball and such, but I LOVED cars. I could name every make and model. And at that point in time the styles of the cars were as futuristic as those buildings!
Here's an interesting piece. Looks like someone tried to illegally bulldoze one of these places, and got stopped midway.
I -think- I saw it in the movie "Bounce" this past weekend. Evidently it had been in various movies over the years.

Wow, that's incredible! How could they tear down a Bob's Big Boy?! Notice the infrastructure I-beams of the butterfly roof -- classic. Thanks for the link! Oddly, even if the link gets truncated, if you swipe and copy down to the next line, and plug it into the window, it only pastes the link and works OK.
I know, cars then were so awesome, they had nose cones and fins on them just like rockets! :-) I love those old cars. And bench seats, my bad back hates bucket seats. :-p
Oops, looking at the site again, I see that it's not a Big Boy...but it was still a great old classic joint. :-(
My two oldest boys just informed me that -Capcom- is a company that makes some of the best video games. Resident Evil 4, Megaman, Megabot and others....
